Overall, the Monster PowerCard is a useful gadget that will help you stay connected and help your phone battery life stay alive a little bit longer. You can charge it at home overnight and take it with you to use the next day, or you can also charge it while you’re driving for use later on in the day. The Monster PowerCard is small and easily fits in your wallet, purse, or back pocket. I was pretty impressed! In a pinch, having my phone’s battery charge over 30% in 15 minutes is not bad and definitely useful. I plugged my fully-charged Monster PowerCard into my phone when my phone’s battery was at about 24% and it charged my phone up to about 56% within 15 or so minutes, before all the juice was gone from the Monster PowerCard. I want to note that you shouldn’t expect the Monster PowerCard to take your phone from 0% battery life to 100%, because it won’t. Once you do fully charge your Monster PowerCard, you can plug it into your phone whenever you need some extra battery life. I’m just saying that you shouldn’t expect it to give you a lot of battery juice straight out of the package. It’s nice, though, that it comes pre-charged a bit and you don’t have to wait to charge it before you can use it. Straight out of the package, you can use the Monster PowerCard to give your phone a little boost – just a little. Read on to see what I thought about the Monster PowerCard! The new Monster PowerCard that is launching in Walmart stores and on this coming June 23rd is perfect for such situations! Thanks to my partnership with Walmart as a participant in the Walmart Moms program, I got a chance to preview the Monster PowerCard, which will sell for $39.95 once available at Walmart. Since I use my phone a lot for my business (which involves a lot of social media sharing and photo/video uploading on media and press trips), you can imagine my phone’s battery is quickly used up often times. Either that, or I’d have to carry my phone charger with me in my purse and find a nearby plug – neither of which is very convenient or always feasible. Unless I am in the car where I can use my car charger to recharge my phone while driving, this means that I have to wait until I get back home to charge my phone. As of today the champagne gold version is only $20.Many times I’m out and about for the day and my phone’s battery starts to slowly die. Additionally, you’ll find it in a variety of colors at Amazon, too. You can pick up a Powercard Turbo charger via Monster’s website for approximately $50. Never get caught with your power down again, get a Powercard Turbo and keep your device working for hours. The two inch USB cord is easy to keep track of because I can keep it plugged into the device. When it comes down to it, this is a really great power bank as it’s tough, durable and charges my smartphone quickly. After that, hit the power button and let it go to work. Once ready, simply switch the USB charging cord so the microUSB end is plugged into your smartphone and the standard USB end is hooked into the Powercard Turbo. After about two hours the Powercard Turbo will be ready to charge your smartphone. Using the Powercard Turbo is extremely easy you take the two inch USB charging cable, plug the microUSB connector into the port then plug the standard USB port into the wall plug. Nevertheless, there’s plenty of reserve juice should you run low earlier in the day than you’d like. What Needs Improvement: 50 is still a bit high for a 3350mAh external battery No carry case or bag included. What I Like: Small Simple to use Automatically adapts the speed with which it charges devices Solid metal design. Older devices might be able to get up to two charges out of it but today’s devices are inching into this space. In terms of capacity, the Powercard Turbo comes with 3350mAh, which is more than you’ll find in most smartphones. If by some miracle you manage to break the Powercard, the charger comes with a one year warranty for products sold in North America and a two year warranty for products sold in Europe. The PowerCard Turbo has a 1.5A output for quick charging of your devices. All that trauma and it still fully charged my phone in under forty minutes. Thats enough power to provide about 5 hours of energy to your smartphone. Then, I knocked it off my desk and also had it slide off my lap onto the parking lot at work. Within the first hours of having it in my possession, my son dropped it on the tile floor in my kitchen. The Powercard Turbo, made by Monster, is just that, a monster, especially in quality of the build. The key to floating to the top of the sea of charging banks is to simply put out a quality product at a reasonable price that is exactly what the Powercard Turbo does.
